The first steps for the 2026<\/a> Saskatchewan Roughriders are underway.<\/p>\n

Saskatchewan\u2019s training camp<\/a> is in full swing as players stake their claims as to why they can be the ones to help the Riders raise the Grey Cup in 2026.<\/p>\n

While there are a number of veterans returning from last season, there are a few positional battles taking place to keep an eye on.<\/p>\n

That includes the backup quarterback spot, where Jack Coan<\/a> will look to prove he can be the guy to lead the team if Trevor Harris misses any stretch of time.<\/p>\n

There are a couple of other spots where a new starter will need to emerge, such as defensive end and in the wide receiver group<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jamie Nye and Britton Gray discuss what they have noticed from camp and who they will be keeping an eye on in Monday\u2019s preseason game in Calgary against the Stampeders.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Jamie has been the host of The Green Zone since its inception in 2013 and is respected across Canada for his award-winning work, covering and commenting on sports. He grew up in Lumsden, Sask., and has gone from being a fan of the Riders to one of the go-to experts on the club. He hosts the pre- and post-game show with Darrell Davis and Belton Johnson.<\/p>\n
