{"id":671700,"date":"2026-05-15T18:22:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T18:22:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/671700\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T18:22:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T18:22:15","slug":"airdrie-rcmp-on-scene-of-multi-vehicle-collision-with-shots-fired","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/671700\/","title":{"rendered":"Airdrie RCMP on scene of multi-vehicle collision with shots fired"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There\u2019s a heavy police presence in Airdrie Friday morning following a multi-vehicle collision that was apparently followed by a shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Airdrie RCMP say the crash happened on Bayside Boulevard between 8 Street and Canal\u2019s Link.<\/p>\n<p>At this time, police believe a vehicle was in an altercation with several other vehicles leading up to the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Shots were then fired towards the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, four people have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Cpl. Matthew Howell tells 660 NewsRadio says it\u2019s unclear how many suspects were involved and no arrests have been made at this time.<\/p>\n<p>The incident is believed to be targeted, and RCMP say their is no danger to the general public at this time.<\/p>\n<p>Residents are asked to avoid the area while police conduct the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7267.
