Porter Airlines is continuing to expand its presence in Hamilton, adding new nonstop service to Winnipeg and St. John\u2019s this week.<\/p>\n

Flights to St. John\u2019s depart Hamilton at 9:10 a.m. and arrive at 1:50 p.m., while return service leaves Newfoundland at 2:45 p.m. and lands in Hamilton at 4:50 p.m.<\/p>\n
Both routes will be operated on Porter\u2019s 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.<\/p>\n
The announcement comes weeks after Porter unveiled additional Hamilton routes to Ottawa and Montreal, both scheduled to launch in June.<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, the airline also announced expanded service to Halifax, year-round flights to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and a new route to Montego Bay, Jamaica.<\/p>\n
Porter currently flies from Hamilton to destinations including Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Halifax, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Orlando and Punta Cana, according to its website.<\/p>\n
Peter Tong, CEO of the Hamilton airport, said the new routes strengthen Hamilton\u2019s role as a \u201cconvenient and easy gateway\u201d for travellers across the region.<\/p>\n
