\ncard tomorrow, which is now set following the official
\nRousey vs. Carano<\/a> weigh-ins.<\/p>\n

MVP’s debut MMA event is headlined by a highly anticipated fight
\nbetween former Olympian and
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> women’s bantamweight titleholder
\nRonda
\nRousey<\/a> and former EliteXC and Strikeforce star Gina Carano<\/a>.
\nBoth women successfully hit their marks for their first fights in
\n10 and 17 years, respectively. In total, all 22 fighters for the
\nevent made their contracted weight.<\/p>\n

A pair of title fight knockout losses ended the career of Rousey
\n(12-2). Prior to a shocking head kick defeat to Holly Holm<\/a>,
\nRousey was seen as the most dominant fighter in the sport and had
\nracked up 12 straight wins and six UFC title defenses. “Rowdy”
\nwould return again a year later, losing to Amanda
\nNunes<\/a> in less than a minute and then retiring from the sport,
\nalthough she’s stayed in the spotlight with acting and professional
\nwrestling. For her return bout, Rousey weighed 142 pounds.<\/p>\n

Carano (7-1) also started out as an undefeated phenom. One of the
\nfaces of EliteXC, Carano started her career with seven straight
\nwins, including finishes of Kaitlin
\nYoung<\/a> and Tonya
\nEvinger<\/a>. However, a TKO defeat to Cristiane
\nJustino<\/a> in 2009 was the last time she laced up the gloves.
\nShe’s since had a successful acting career, being a mainstay on the
\nfirst two seasons of the Star Wars television show “The
\nMandalorian.” For her first fight since losing to “Cyborg,” Carano
\nweighed 141.4 pounds.<\/p>\n

MVP MMA’s Rousey vs. Carano card will air live on Netflix on
\nSaturday. The main card starts at 9 p.m. ET\/6 p.m. PT, while
\nprelims start at 5 p.m. ET\/2 p.m. PT on Netflix’s Tudum
\nwebsite.<\/p>\n
