Surrey company celebrating 40th year in B.C.<\/p>\n

Four decades. That\u2019s how long Intercontinental Truck Body has been operating in B.C.<\/p>\n
The company is celebrating their 40-year, B.C. milestone this month with a special reception at their Cloverdale location on the Surrey-Langley border.<\/p>\n
Intercontinental Truck Body (ITB) expanded to B.C. in 1986 and had grown from a family business into a \u201cpremier manufacturer\u201d of custom made truck bodies, trailers, and enclosures.<\/p>\n
\u201cReaching 40 years in British Columbia is a milestone that belongs to everyone who has walked through our doors,\u201d Nathan Van Seters, ITB general manager, said in a press release. \u201cWe are incredibly grateful to our loyal customers who trust us with their fleets, our dependable suppliers who ensure we have the highest quality materials, and, most importantly, our hard-working employees. Their craftsmanship and dedication are the reasons we are still here today.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the release, ITB\u2019s success centres around its Snap-Lock aluminum panel system. The system was designed to be strong and lightweight. The Snap-Lock system is rivetless, which creates a corrosion-resistant surface.<\/p>\n
ITB\u2019s product is used on vehicles in a myriad of industries, including: first responders, utility companies, municipalities, transport services, and many others.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you see an ITB truck on the road, you\u2019re looking at a vehicle that is put to use every day in the communities we all live in,\u201d Van Seters added. \u201cFrom the hydro trucks restoring power during a storm to the fire and rescue vehicles serving our neighbourhoods, we take immense pride in manufacturing the durable equipment that keeps British Columbia moving.\u201d<\/p>\n
ITB was founded in 1974 by three brothers from the Netherlands. Van Seters and partner Aren Van Dyke led the company\u2019s expansion from Alberta to B.C. in the \u201980s.<\/p>\n
As ITB sets its sights on the next four decades, according to the release, \u201cthe company remains committed to the principles of quality and custom design that have defined its first 40 years in the province.\u201d<\/p>\n
