Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a>‘ offensive coordinator Grant Udinksi<\/a> will take part in the NFL’s accelerator program during the NFL owners meetings on May 18 and 19, according to ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Udinski is one of 16 coaches selected to participate in this event, which features up-and-coming head-coaching candidates in the coming years. There are 18 executives taking part in this program as well.<\/p>\n

Other coaches who are taking part include Mike McDaniel, Eric Bieniemy, Nate Scheelhaase, Josh McCown<\/a>, Aden Durde, and Darren Rizzi, among others.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Fowler wrote that the NFL received 60-plus nominations to participate in this year’s accelerator program.<\/p>\n

Udinski interviewed with both Cleveland<\/a> and Buffalo for their head coaching vacancies earlier this offseason. He was among the finalists for the Browns<\/a>‘ role.<\/p>\n

As Ryan O’Halloran<\/a> of the Florida-Times Union posted, this event will provide Udinksi with the opportunity to meet more NFL owners.<\/p>\n

Udinski played a key role in Trevor Lawrence<\/a>‘s growth and in the success the Jacksonville offense had over the second half of the season, averaging almost 33 points per game during their eight-game winning streak.<\/p>\n

It feels like it will only be a matter of time before he gets the opportunity to be a head coach in the NFL.<\/p>\n

But for now, the Jaguars were able to retain Udinksi for at least one more season, and that continuity can be a key element behind Jacksonville making another jump in 2026.<\/p>\n
