{"id":676491,"date":"2026-05-18T00:41:33","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T00:41:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/676491\/"},"modified":"2026-05-18T00:41:33","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T00:41:33","slug":"a-big-new-building-is-on-the-way-in-banff-heres-what-it-looks-like-daily-hive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/676491\/","title":{"rendered":"A big new building is on the way in Banff \u2014 here&#8217;s what it looks like | Daily Hive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A winning design has been chosen for the 200-Block Banff Avenue Redevelopment project after a months-long design competition.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/calgary\/new-project-downtown-banff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The 200-Block Banff Avenue Redevelopment<\/a> has been on the table from Parks Canada since the late 1990s, after the federal agency noticed a need to improve reception, orientation, and education services for visitors to the park.<\/p>\n<p>It was determined that the best place to deliver the improvements would be in the heart of Banff, where 80 per cent of visitors stop during their trip.
