Non-stop service between Hamilton (YHM) and Winnipeg (YWG) began on Thursday 14 May, operating up to six round-trips weekly. Hamilton to St John\u2019s (YYT) began on Friday 15 May, with daily service by late June.<\/p>\n<p>Both routes are operating on the airline\u2019s state-of-the-art, 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, featuring a two-by-two configuration, and free, fast Wi-Fi for everyone on board.<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Pierce, Porter Airlines\u2019 Vice President, Network Planning and Reporting, said: \u201cWe\u2019re emphasising our commitment to Hamilton by giving passengers even more options when planning their travels. The addition of Winnipeg and St John\u2019s gives travellers the ability to choose Porter for these destinations and enjoy their flying experience the moment they step on board our aircraft.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Travellers in the Greater Hamilton Area now have non-stop access to 14 destinations. Since launching its Hamilton service in June 2025, Porter has introduced eight domestic, two transborder, and three sun destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean, including the newly announced Montego Bay, Jamaica.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Tong, Chief Executive Officer, John C Munro Hamilton International Airport, said: \u201cPorter\u2019s continued expansion at Hamilton International reflects our shared commitment to delivering an elevated travel experience with greater choice and flexibility. The addition of service to Winnipeg and St John\u2019s further enhances the Airport\u2019s role as a convenient and easy gateway while strengthening coast-to-coast connectivity for our region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dennis Hogan, Chief Executive Officer, St John\u2019s International Airport Authority, added: \u201cWe are thrilled with Porter\u2019s new non-stop service from YYT to Hamilton. This route provides convenient access to Southern Ontario, including the Niagara region, which is home to some of Canada\u2019s most iconic tourism destinations.
