Visitors will get to learn and ask questions about the public works system, from waterworks to street operations, parks to solid waste services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe service of public works in Saanich is rooted in supporting the health and vitality of our community. Our engineering, public works and parks teams are always balancing long-term planning with day-to-day response,\u201d noted director of engineering Harley Machielse in a news release. \u201cWhether maintaining core infrastructure, preparing for weather impacts or addressing urgent service needs, their work is vital and it\u2019s important we take the time to thank them for their contributions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event is free, and no reservations are required.
