Cobie Smulders, one of the stars of How I Met Your Mother,\u00a0The Avengers,\u00a0and many other TV shows and movies, has a home here in B.C., and it is stunning.<\/p>\n

Luxury Listings<\/a> recently shared a post about Smulders\u2019 massive B.C. home on Instagram.<\/p>\n

While the exact location is unknown, some speculate that it is located in Alta Lake or somewhere else near Whistler.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen she finally found the right parcel of land; expansive, remote, framed by mountains on all sides and opening to a private lake, she called the architect she had admired since childhood,\u201d Luxury Listings wrote in its post.<\/p>\n

Smulders spoke to Architectural Digest<\/a> about her home, saying that after growing up in the Vancouver suburbs, she had always dreamed of living out in the wilderness.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a lot of friends who had family cabins on the islands, or up in Whistler, and I would try to join their family vacations as much as possible,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoing from that initial meeting to an actual finished home required patience. Smulders, along with her husband, comedian Taran Killam, spent years hunting for the ideal plot of land until Killam came across a large, remote parcel situated on an expansive lake and framed by mountains on all sides,\u201d Architectural Digest said.<\/p>\n

Architectural Digest says that Smulders turned to Elizabeth MacKenzie, PlaidFox Studio, and Skladan Architecture \u201cto help design the retreat.\u201d<\/p>\n
