\n Taylor Swift is adamant that her relationship with sports was pretty nonexistent before dating Travis Kelce.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cI grew up in Pennsylvania. I always heard my dad yelling at the screen, watching Eagles games. That was always the sports sounds I heard in my house,\u201d Swift said today. \u201cHowever, I was up on my room playing guitar, learning instruments, playing piano. I was focused on different things. I was like so laser-focused on music, and that\u2019s how I was in school.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cI would go to sporting events so I could sing the national anthem. It was a means to an end to get me to do music,\u201d she continued. \u201cI know every halftime show from the Super Bowl, but I didn\u2019t watch the sports.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
\n At that point, Kelce quickly butted in that he knew Swift was an athlete by the way she \u201cpower skipped\u201d down the stage while performing on tour.\n <\/p>\n
\n Despite rejecting his notion, Swift did say her connection to sports changed after Kelce\u2019s arrival into her life.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cI definitely became obsessed with sports when it came to (Travis Kelce). I\u2019m competitive on his behalf. But like, if you and me are going to go against each other in something athletic, I\u2019m going to let you win,\u201d Swift added.\n <\/p>\n
\n She also pointed out that while she\u2019s not invested in participating in sports when she\u2019s playing solo, she\u2019ll step up when it\u2019s a team sport.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cIf I\u2019m on his team and we\u2019re playing beer pong, I\u2019m really trying because this matters to him. I\u2019m a team sports gal,\u201d she said.\n <\/p>\n
