Under this computation, a pensioner who originally received P6,000 monthly would get an additional P1,260 by June 2026. By 2027, the monthly pension would be nearly P2,000 higher than the original amount. Overall, retirement and disability pensioners could see total growth of about 33 percent over three years.<\/p>\n
For death and survivorship pensioners, the increase is set at five percent yearly.<\/p>\n
Using a sample pension of P3,000:<\/p>\n
Original pension: P3,000<\/p>\n
Year 1 (Sept. 2025): P3,150<\/p>\n
Year 2 (June 2026): P3,307.50<\/p>\n
Year 3 (Sept. 2027): P3,472.88<\/p>\n
Under this computation, a pensioner receiving P3,000 monthly would get an additional P307.50 beginning June 2026. By 2027, the monthly pension would rise by almost P473 compared with the original amount. Overall, survivorship pensioners may receive a total growth of around 16 percent after three years.<\/p>\n
Who will receive it<\/p>\n
The increase covers qualified SSS pensioners receiving:<\/p>\n
retirement pensions,<\/p>\n
disability pensions,<\/p>\n
death pensions, and<\/p>\n
survivorship pensions.<\/p>\n
SSS has not announced any additional application requirements for existing pensioners, indicating that the adjustment will be reflected automatically in monthly payouts.<\/p>\n
Why the rollout was moved earlier<\/p>\n
SSS said it accelerated the June implementation following the directive of Marcos amid continued inflationary pressures and economic uncertainty.<\/p>\n
SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Joseph de Claro earlier said the agency wanted to provide immediate financial relief to Filipino workers and pensioners struggling with higher living costs.<\/p>\n
