A man is in critical condition after a serious single-vehicle crash in Brampton early Wednesday (May 20) morning.<\/p>\n
According to Peel Regional Police, emergency personnel were called to the area of Clark Boulevard and West Drive, near Dixie Road, shortly after 1:30 a.m., where they found a vehicle flipped onto its roof and the driver trapped inside.<\/p>\n
Police said the driver, believed to be a man in his 40s, had to be extricated from the vehicle before being transported to a trauma centre, where he remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo other vehicles were involved in the collision,\u201d PRP Const. Amanda Steenson told reporters at the scene.<\/p>\n
Investigators have not yet released information on what may have caused the crash.<\/p>\n
Clark Boulevard remains closed between Highway 410 and West Drive as collision reconstruction officers continue to investigate.<\/p>\n
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes while police remain on scene.<\/p>\n
