He persevered to save 15 of them, while breaking Boscardin Dias three times on seven chances.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 27-year-old from Laval, Que., who was eliminated in the first round of the last two French Open qualifying tournaments, will face Italy\u2019s Federico Cina on Thursday for a spot in the main draw.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Galarneau was the only Canadian to advance to the final round of qualifying Wednesday after Liam Draxl and Bianca Andreescu lost their second-round matches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Andreescu, the former world No. 4, fell 6-7 (2), 6-4, 6-4 to Czechia\u2019s Viktoria Hruncakova. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The 25-year-old from Mississauga, Ont., lost in the second round of qualifying at Roland Garros for the second straight year. She advanced to the third round in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Draxl, 24, from Newmarket, Ont., fell 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 to top seed Jesper de Jong of the Netherlands in his second attempt to qualify for the clay-court Grand Slam.
