Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)<\/a>\u00a0announced a series of artificial intelligence product announcements at Google\u2019s I\/O 2026 event, with analysts at Bank of America and UBS highlighting the company\u2019s expanding push into AI across Search, Gemini, and new consumer and hardware products.<\/p>\nKey announcements included Gemini 3.5 Flash, Gemini Omni Flash, the Gemini Spark personal AI agent, and Universal Cart, alongside expanded AI integration in Search and YouTube.<\/p>\n
Google also unveiled audio-first smart glasses as part of its Android XR push, increasing competition in wearable devices.<\/p>\n
Bank of America highlighted that Google unveiled \u201ca broad range of new AI products & platform updates spanning frontier AI, Search, AI agents & smart glasses,\u201d pointing to accelerating AI product momentum.<\/p>\n
It added that usage trends show adoption is building, noting \u201cStrong usage traction across AI Overviews, AI Mode & Gemini suggest Google effectively transitioning search users to AI users.\u201d<\/p>\n
The firm took a more bullish stance on Google\u2019s positioning, stating that \u201cGoogle no longer playing catch up, search & agentic announcements demonstrated a wave of leading product innovation; Buy.\u201d<\/p>\n
UBS took a more cautious view on near-term earnings impact, noting that while AI monetization is still early outside Search and Cloud, the new updates could broaden longer-term revenue opportunities across Google\u2019s large user base.<\/p>\n
It said the changes \u201cwill give Google Search\/Gemini access to more user data that should drive higher ads personalization.\u201d<\/p>\n
The firm highlighted Google\u2019s new AI Ultra subscription plans priced at $100 and $200 per month, but said these are unlikely to meaningfully change near-term forecasts. It also pointed to competitive pressure from OpenAI and Meta, particularly in agentic AI and wearable devices, noting that Google is \u201cnot likely to be left behind.\u201d<\/p>\n
UBS maintained a \u2018Neutral\u2019 rating, citing valuation and already-elevated expectations, while acknowledging the scale of Google\u2019s AI expansion.<\/p>\n
Overall, both banks viewed the I\/O 2026 announcements as reinforcing Google\u2019s push deeper into AI across its ecosystem, but differed on the speed and scale of resulting earnings upside.<\/p>\n
