Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2019s football knowledge has come a long way since she first started dating Travis Kelce<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n The pop star appeared as a special guest on the Aug. 13 episode<\/a> of Kelce\u2019s New Heights podcast<\/a>, and revealed the question she asked him on their first date that had her laughing in hindsight.\n<\/p>\n Swift, who announced her new album The Life of a Showgirl<\/a> on the podcast, praised Kelce, 35, for being \u201cso non-judgmental\u201d about the fact that she was a total stranger to the world of football when they first met.\n<\/p>\n \u201cOn our first date, I legitimately asked him what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl and he looked across the field across the line of scrimmage and saw his brother standing on the other\u2026 five feet in front of him on the field,\u201d Swift, 35, recalled.\n<\/p>\n Kelce\u2019s Kansas City Chiefs went head-to-head in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022, when his brother and podcast co-host Jason Kelce<\/a>, 37, was still on the team, prior to his retirement.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Jason chimed in when Swift recalled her question, noting that such a look between brothers \u201cdidn\u2019t happen,\u201d as that\u2019s not how the game works.\n<\/p>\n \u201c[Travis] didn\u2019t even look at me. Like, I now know what an insane question that was,\u201d Swift said. \u201cHe was like, \u2018Actually, I\u2019m on the offense and my brother\u2019s on the offense, and I\u2019m only on the field at the same time as the defense.\u2019 I thought everyone was on the field at the same time.\u201d\n<\/p>\n Over time, though, Swift \u2014 who attends many of Kelce\u2019s games during the season \u2014 \u201cfell in love\u201d with football, and is now \u201cobsessed,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n Taylor Swift cheers on Travis Kelce at a Chiefs game in Kansas City in September 2023.<\/p>\n Jason Hanna\/Getty<\/p>\n \u201cI became a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, \u2018We drafted Xavier Worthy<\/a>!\u2019\u201d the singer said, referring to the 22-year-old wide receiver selected by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. \u201cMy friends are like, \u2018Who bodysnatched you? What do you mean?\u2019\u201d\n<\/p>\n Travis, for his part, expressed appreciation for Swift\u2019s dedication to the game.\n<\/p>\n \u201cI am forever thankful for you diving into the football world wholeheartedly,\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n Just as the podcast was released, Swift announced that Life of a Showgirl will come out on Oct. 3<\/a>, and revealed that she’ll produced it alongside Max Martin and Shellback.\n<\/p>\n
