Of course the big focus is on the 2026 NHL Draft for which the Jets hold the 8th overall selection. We will be spending\u00a0quite a bit of time learning about the players<\/a>\u00a0who could hear their name get called by Winnipeg at the end of June.<\/p>\n

Note II: It\u2019s time of the year where guys start to sign overseas. The Swedish mafia are now down one as Samuel Fagemo heads back home to Fr\u00f6lunda on a three-year deal<\/a>. He won a championship with them back in 2018-19. This one had been rumoured for a while and it was confirmed by the team yesterday.<\/p>\n

Note III: Jets prospect Markus Loponen (2024 5th) is returning to North America<\/a> for the 2026-27 campaign. He and HPK mutually agreed to terminate the final year of his two-year Liiga contract. He\u2019ll play NCAA hockey for Lake Superior State.<\/p>\n
