CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Chattanooga women’s soccer head coach Gavin McKinney<\/a> announced the addition of two from the transfer portal to the Mocs 2026 roster.
\n\u00a0
\nLandry Olson comes to Chattanooga from Charlotte where she played in all 18 games for the 49ers as a defender. The Atlanta, Ga., native made seven starts and assisted on three goals including the game winner against UNC Wilmington on August 14.
\n\u00a0
\nOlson earned All-Region, Second Team honors playing for Riverwood International Charter School. She played club ball eight years for Tophat and was a two-time selection for the National Team Training Camp.
\n\u00a0
\nShe spent two seasons with Toledo but did not play due to a medical redshirt. Olson was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and was a named to the President’s List with a 4.0 GPA at Toledo.
\n\u00a0
\nOlson is the daughter of Carrie Garten (Ched) and Dave Olson (Liz) and has three siblings, Charlie and Ryan Olson and Charlie Garten.

\nElise Nystrom played last season for Georgia State as a defender. She played in 12 games for the Panthers and made 10 starts. Nystrom scored goals against West Georgia and Truett-McConnell and recorded a .667 shots on goal percentage.
\n\u00a0
\nAt Denmark High School, Nystrom played two seasons and led the Danes to the state playoffs both seasons. She recorded a goal and an assist in a playoff game in 2022 as a center back.
\n\u00a0
\nShe is a three-time President’s List honoree, named to the Dean’s List at Georgia State twice and a member of the Sun Belt Commissioner’s List.
\n\u00a0
\nNystrom is the daughter of Cathryn and John Nystrom and has a brother Jax. Her mother was a member of the Dance Team at Kennesaw State and went on to become a member of the Atlanta Hawks Dance Team. Her father played baseball for Valencia Junior College.

\nThe Mocs take on Dalton State (Aug. 6) and West Georgia (Aug. 8) in a pair of exhibitions before opening the season August 12 against UT Martin at Finley Stadium.
