Thankfully, the McGregor drought is almost over. Just a few days ago, UFC officially announced his return at UFC 329 on July 11<\/a> opposite former foe Max Holloway, whom McGregor defeated via unanimous decision 13 years ago when the two were rising young Featherweights. Now, they\u2019ll collide after their respective championship reigns all the way up at 170 pounds.<\/p>\n

With his return finally announced, McGregor took to social media to thank his fans for the support and promise greatness in his comeback performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for all the love, support, and encouragement over the last few days, people!\u201d McGregor began on X<\/a>. I am feeling very energised [sp] entering intense training camp because of it! I am very grateful for the team I have around me. My coaches and training partners, we are all fully tuned in for the challenge at hand and it is a glorious time in our gym! Holloway fought much more recently than \u201cThe Notorious,\u201d coughing up his BMF belt to Charles Oliveira<\/a> at UFC 326 back in April.
