\n\tCharlie Heaton<\/a> is swapping the 1980s for the 1950s in the first image of him on the set of the untitled sequel to \u201cPeaky Blinders<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHeaton, best known for his role as Jonathan Byers in Netflix monster hit \u201cStranger Things,\u201d is set to play Charles Shelby in the series, which also stars Jamie Bell as his half-brother Duke Shelby.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe six-episode series will focus on the next generation of Shelbys after patriarch Tommy, played by Cillian Murphy, bowed out in the recently-released movie spin-off, \u201cThe Immortal Man.\u201d Duke was played by Barry Keoghan in the film.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHaving fought a violent war, much of it behind enemy lines, Charles Shelby is now embracing normality,\u201d reads the synopsis. \u201cHe hasn\u2019t seen his half-brother Duke in years. Charles severed all ties to the Peaky Blinders gang, and the hedonistic Shelby lifestyle. But can you ever escape your own blood?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new series, which is currently in production in Birmingham, will be set a decade after World War II as the re-building of Birmingham, destroyed during the Blitz, starts to gather pace.<\/p>\n

\n\tJoining Bell and Heaton in the series are Jessica Brown Findlay (\u201cSilo\u201d), Lashana Lynch (\u201cThe Day of The Jackal\u201d), and Lucy Karczewski (\u201cStereophonic\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tA release date hasn\u2019t yet been set but in the U.K. it will premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One with the rest of the world able to tune in on Netflix.<\/p>\n
