Her experience with the team dates back further, as she worked closely\u00a0with the Sea Bears as an external consultant and staff mentor prior.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRh\u00e9anne is a proven success in professional sports in Winnipeg, and her impact with the Bombers is truly national \u2013 for both the team and the CFL itself,\u201d said Asper in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seabears.ca\/winnipeg-sea-bears-appoint-rheanne-marcoux-as-team-president?ajs_uid=ec1604055c7ed1bd8cf75d01f73a2518935dfa2819e410be56d8e9785468c433&amp;utm_campaign=STM%253A+Winnipeg+Sea+Bears+Appoint+Rh%C3%A9anne+Marcoux+as+Team+President&amp;utm_content=Winnipeg+Sea+Bears+Appoint+Rh%C3%A9anne+Marcoux+as+President&amp;utm_medium=email_action&amp;utm_source=customer.io\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince joining the Sea Bears, she has fundamentally transformed how this organization operates, from implementing new systems and processes to establishing long-term team culture across the organization. This appointment is the natural next step, and I\u2019m looking forward to having our fans and our entire organization benefit from her leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Marcoux&#8217;s success in sports includes an 11-year tenure with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, which saw her rise from the marketing department to\u00a0Vice President, Marketing and Communications for the 112th Grey Cup, where she led the way in content creation, fan engagement, and communications apparatus. &#8220;Her work culminated in overseeing the marketing and communications efforts for the 2026 Grey Cup Festival, a national tentpole event that showcased Winnipeg on the country\u2019s biggest stage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Before joining the Blue Bombers,\u00a0Marcoux worked in broadcast journalism with\u00a0Radio Canada, sports marketing with True North Sports and Entertainment, and founded her own creative agency. As an alumna of Red River College and the University of Winnipeg, she holds a degree in communications.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Through her experience,\u00a0Marcoux goes beyond traditional advertising and creates emotional connections between fans and the brands they love. With powerful storytelling, excellent creativity, and\u00a0a deep understanding of what turns casual fans into lifelong ones.<\/p>\n<p>Since\u00a0Marcoux came to the Sea Bears at the beginning of the year, she has\u00a0implemented a new CRM, launched a marketing automation system, introduced project management infrastructure, and led a brand and culture reset across the organization. In her new role as President, her role will include\u00a0overseeing all business operations, brand strategy, revenue, marketing, ticketing, partnerships, fan experience, and community engagement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I came on board, I saw an organization with incredible potential and a fan base that was ready for more,\u201d said Marcoux in a news release. \u201cOver the past several months, we\u2019ve been building new foundations \u2013 new systems, new processes and a new way of working together.
