Thanks to a fateful food delivery order, two women became fast friends when one needed it the most.<\/p>\n
On May 1, Breanna Dabila, who lives in Princeton, Texas, posted a 14-second video<\/a> that quickly went viral and, at first glance, appears to show longtime friends hanging out.<\/p>\n \u201cNot, \u2018My buns don\u2019t look like that!\u2019 That\u2019s crazy,\u201d Dabila says as she chortles with joy.<\/p>\n A woman is hunched over, laughing and eating a burger with Dabila in a kitchen. It\u2019s the kind of casual hang that usually comes with years of friendship, but Dabila and her DoorDash driver, Quiana Reliford, had just met moments prior.<\/p>\n \u201cI ordered sour candy be it helps w my anxiety and panic attacks & I literally told my doordasher im depressed,\u201d Dabila wrote on the video, adding context that she invited Reliford in to \u201cmake her burgers\u201d because she didn\u2019t want to be alone.<\/p>\n \u201cThat was literally like not even 10 minutes,\u201d Dabila tells TODAY.com, adding that she recorded the moment for future hard times, never expecting it to go so viral.<\/p>\n \u201cThe first thing she did when she saw my buns was she was like, \u2018I don\u2019t have buns like this in my house,\u2019 because it was those bakery buns, but it was like the Great Value buns from Walmart, so I started laughing,\u201d she says. \u201cWe just immediately clicked.\u201d<\/p>\n The comments were entirely supportive of this friendship, calling it \u201ccute as hell<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThis is how the same of the best friendships are formed,\u201d said<\/a> one TikTok user.<\/p>\n \u201cPlease tell me yall friends now,\u201d added<\/a> another.<\/p>\n And someone could relate, writing<\/a>, \u201cMe and my uber driver went to the bar.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cyou doordashed a new bestie,\u201d one more wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u2018She Needed Me in That Moment, and I Had Time\u2019<\/p>\n In a screenshot of her DoorDash chat, Dabila tells Reliford, \u201cJust a heads up I\u2019m a mess and sad so don\u2019t be alarmed if I\u2019m crying I can\u2019t stop once I start lol,\u201d adding, \u201cDon\u2019t judge please I\u2019m literally a mess I\u2019m so depressed, just need a hug honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n Reliford replies, \u201cStawwwwp everything happens for a reason here I come love.\u201d<\/p>\n Dabila says she has struggled with anxiety and depression for most of her life, which led her \u201cto coping in unhealthy ways\u201d with alcohol.<\/p>\n That night, there was no one home who could help Dabila, and Reliford says, when she arrived, she knew immediately that she could.<\/p>\n \u201cI sat there for about an hour, and I had a birthday dinner to go to afterward, but I did make it,\u201d Reliford tells TODAY.com. <\/p>\n \u201cI was just like, you know, I always give my friends a gift if I don\u2019t make it, but I thought, \u2018There\u2019s literally a life on the line, I feel like they could wait,\u2019\u201d she adds. \u201cYou can\u2019t really always please everybody, but real recognize real. She needed me in that moment, and I had time.\u201d<\/p>\n Dabila says she cut off friends who could affect her sobriety, so she was feeling especially \u201cdesperate.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI just needed a hug, not from my husband, not from anyone close to me, from a stranger,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n After their interaction, Dabila realized she hadn\u2019t gotten Reliford\u2019s number to thank her. People on the internet helped her find her, and Reliford then posted her own TikTok<\/a>.<\/p>\n Reliford says a former coworker sent her Dabila\u2019s video.<\/p>\n \u201cShe was like, \u2018Is this you?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh Lord,\u2019 because I couldn\u2019t see the video, but then I go to the video, and I was like, \u2018Oh my gosh,\u2019 I almost just started crying.\u201d<\/p>\n Since the video went viral, the pair have texted and spoken, and plan to hang out again soon.<\/p>\n \u2018She Really Saved Me That Night\u2019<\/p>\n Reliford revealed to viewers<\/a> that she also suffers from anxiety.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I\u2019m feeling a certain type of way, I don\u2019t want to push my negative energy onto my friends,\u201d Reliford says, which then causes her to go low-contact.<\/p>\n \u201cWe shouldn\u2019t do that,\u201d she says. \u201cWe laugh together, why can\u2019t we cry together or sit in the dark moments together, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n Reliford says her faith, as well as being raised to be kind to others, led her to help Dabila that night.<\/p>\n \u201cI pray all the time and that will give you the discernment,\u201d Reliford says. \u201cIf anything in your mind is telling you to help someone, talk to them.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Dabila says she can\u2019t thank her new friend enough: \u201cShe really saved me that night.\u201d<\/p>\n If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988, or go to 988lifeline.org<\/a>, to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
