{"id":687978,"date":"2026-05-23T06:07:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T06:07:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/687978\/"},"modified":"2026-05-23T06:07:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T06:07:08","slug":"canadian-canola-crush-sets-april-record","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/687978\/","title":{"rendered":"Canadian canola crush sets April record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Glacier FarmMedia \u2014\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www150.statcan.gc.ca\/n1\/daily-quotidien\/260522\/dq260522e-eng.htm?utm_source=mstatcan&amp;utm_medium=eml&amp;utm_campaign=statcan-statcan-mstatcan\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The April Canadian canola crush<\/a> set a new record for the month at slightly more than 1.05 million tonnes according to the Statistics Canada monthly crush report issued May 22.<\/p>\n<p>The report also showed new April records for oil and meal production at 450,576 and 606,047 tonnes, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s believed that very strong crush margins and new crush facilities coming online may be behind the increases.<\/p>\n<p>The record crush of any month was October 2024, with 1.1 million tonnes of canola producing 459,220 tonnes of oil and 648,271 tonnes of meal.<\/p>\n<p>For the tenth consecutive month, StatCan did not publish new soybean crush data.
