The saga between Claressa Shields and Alycia Baumgardner is far from over. In fact, it might just be getting started.<\/p>\n

Shields and Baumgardner got into a physical altercation<\/a> during the massive MMA fight between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano on May 16. The two were seen loudly arguing before Shields slapped Baumgadner across the face with an open hand before they were quickly separated.<\/p>\n

From that point, each fighter has issued statements on social media<\/a>, explaining their side of the story and reacting to the fight. Shields has now decided to respond to Baumgardner by utilizing the law.<\/p>\n

Claressa Shields threatens lawsuit<\/p>\n

In an interview with Fight Hub TV, Shields threatened to sue Baumgardner and MVP, who banned Shields from attending their future events after the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth of MVP and Baumgardner\u2019s statements were lies. That is defamation of character,\u201d Shields said. \u201cFor those who saw the video of Baumgardner threatening me, telling me \u2018I\u2019ll beat your ass right now b****,\u2019 that is a threat.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo now that I\u2019m looking at statements and I\u2019m seeing people lie, it\u2019s okay because I\u2019m not going to handle it with the law, I\u2019m going to handle it with the courts,\u201d Shields continued. \u201cY\u2019all are going to get sued for defamation of character. All of y\u2019all up there. So y\u2019all need to get your checkbooks ready.\u201d<\/p>\n

Claressa Shields attacks Alycia Baumgarnder\u2019s personal life<\/p>\n

The rivalry between Claressa Shields and Alycia Baumgardner has now gone far beyond discussing comparisons in the squared circle.<\/p>\n

Shields continued in the interview by going scorched earth on Baumgardner, targeting various aspects of her personal life.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaumgardner decides that she wants to keep mentioning me and my relationship in her mouth. Now, to her, I\u2019ve never spoken about how she is a w****,\u201d Shields said. I don\u2019t speak about her life, but she has gotten too comfortable. First, you disrespect my boxing; trying to say that my resume isn’t this and ain’t that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou try to disrespect my legacy, you say I have an AI six-pack. You want to say I\u2019m jealous of you because you\u2019re cute and I\u2019m supposedly ugly \u2026 then you bring it to my relationship. That\u2019s what the conversation was about. To tell her \u2018keep popping it how you\u2019re popping it,\u2019 but keep that there out of your damn mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alycia Baumgardner and Claressa Shields have been going back and forth on social media since their altercation last week.<\/p>\n

Shields went on to show a video of former world champion Adrien Broner talking about Alycia Baumgardner\u2019s relationships in explicit detail.\u00a0Shields also continued to talk about MVP and Jake Paul on social media, heavily criticizing the boxer and promoter for his statements about her.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shields has taken the incident personally, and it appears the story from her and Baumgardner\u2019s fight is only beginning. <\/p>\n
