That\u2019s 30 Fight Nights and 13 numbered events, now \u2018premium live events instead of pay-per-views. Now Paramount CBS head David Ellison is after Zuffa Boxing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The new entity is run by UFC CEO Dana White and WWE president Nick Khan with financial support from Saudi boxing power broker Turki Alalshikh and SELA, the event management wing of the Saudi Public Investment Fund. The plan is to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/2025\/3\/20\/24390116\/how-does-pay-for-tkos-new-boxing-league-compare-to-ufc\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">bring the UFC model to boxing,<\/a> which requires legal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmamania.com\/2025\/7\/28\/24475820\/boxers-commissions-kept-out-of-the-loop-regarding-muhammad-ali-revival-act\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">changes to the Muhammad Ali act.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Following a one off event in September where White is co-promoting a Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford superfight, the league is expected to launch sometime in early 2026. According to Alalshikh\u2019s news outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/ringmagazine.com\/en\/news\/tko-boxing-stage-12-events-up-4-super-cards-per-year-dana-white-honored-promote-canelo-crawford\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ring Magazine,<\/a> Zuffa Boxing will hold 12 events per year and up to 4 \u2018megafights\u2019 annually.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">That makes the boxing promotion another year-round sport with no off season, a very appealing thing for a streaming service like Paramount+ seeking stable growth for their platform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Front Office sports reports that Paramount CBS is the \u2018front runner\u2019 to pick up Zuffa Boxing, but until the deal is closed there\u2019s always a chance ESPN or Netflix could step in for part or all of the rights.
