{"id":68985,"date":"2025-08-14T12:26:08","date_gmt":"2025-08-14T12:26:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/68985\/"},"modified":"2025-08-14T12:26:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-14T12:26:08","slug":"northern-super-league-taps-hudl-for-soccer-scouting-analysis-tech","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/68985\/","title":{"rendered":"Northern Super League taps Hudl for soccer scouting analysis tech"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph technology \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/04\/16\/northern-super-league-set-to-open-inaugural-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/04\/16\/northern-super-league-set-to-open-inaugural-season\/\">Northern Super League<\/a>, the Canadian women\u2019s soccer league that launched this year, has signed a six-season deal with Hudl that makes Hudl the league\u2019s official scouting analysis partner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph technology \">The partnership, for which financial terms were not disclosed, centers on NSL and its clubs using Hudl\u2019s soccer video and data platform, Wyscout. Through the deal, NSL\u2019s six clubs have access to the platform\u2019s scouting\/analysis tools and match footage, which is shot on AI-powered Hudl cameras installed in NSL venues. NSL, at the league level, has access to the scouting tools as well but is also utilizing match footage for referee analyses and player disciplinary reviews.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph technology \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hudl.com\/products\/wyscout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.hudl.com\/products\/wyscout\">Wyscout<\/a> collects data and video from more than 600 soccer competitions worldwide, including, according to Hudl Sr. Solutions Consultant Greg Jordan, the NWSL, USL, WSL, Liga F and NCAA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph technology \">\u201cWe\u2019ve placed a strong importance on expanding our women\u2019s content,\u201d Jordan told SBJ. \u201cTypically, when there\u2019s a new team or a new league that\u2019s starting up, Hudl is the first call, because they want to use our platform to identify players and start building out their roster. And then on the flip side, [Hudl is] providing exposure to players that are currently playing in the NSL to other clubs worldwide, as there\u2019s a growing transfer market on the women\u2019s side.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph technology \">NSL implemented Hudl\u2019s technology before its inaugural season kicked off in April but will formally announce the partnership today.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph technology \">\u201cOne of the biggest gaps that we have in the women\u2019s game right now is access to data,\u201d NSL VP\/Sport Jose Maria Celestino da Costa said. \u201cThis really helps close that gap, because you have access to all different games from different leagues.
