A mural tribute to the viral “Ibiza final boss” meme has appeared on a wall in Nottingham.<\/p>\n

A video of a man in Ibiza and his distinctive haircut has been going viral online, with the original video getting 24 million views.<\/p>\n

Graffiti artist Michael Mooney, otherwise known as Dak, said he found the meme “hilarious” and felt his facial expression fit the style of classic graffiti art.<\/p>\n

He spray painted it on to a wall near an entrance to the city’s bus station.<\/p>\n

The “Ibiza final boss” has millions of views on social media<\/p>\n

The 51-year-old artist, from Basford in the city, said: “I couldn’t stop laughing at it.<\/p>\n

“As soon as he pulled the face I thought, that’ll be a class painting.<\/p>\n

“Also his stance, his persona, the vibe – it reminded me of a classic B-Boy character, who were hip-hop dancers from the ’80s, which were used in a lot of graffiti when I first started up.”<\/p>\n

He said he expected the height of the graffiti should keep it safe for some time, but the nature of graffiti art meant it would one day be gone.<\/p>\n

“It’s just a bit of fun to amuse people, that’s all we do it for,” he added.<\/p>\n

‘Final boss’<\/p>\n

The man behind the “Ibiza final boss” meme is, according to media reports, 26-year-old Jack Kay, from Newcastle.<\/p>\n

Zero Six West Ibiza posted footage on TikTok of the Brit dancing at a club in a chain and tank top.<\/p>\n

It was quickly viewed by millions, and companies like Greggs and EasyJet made marketing parodies of the meme.<\/p>\n

A “final boss” is the last and typically most difficult enemy to face in a video game.<\/p>\n

Mr Kay now has more than 120,000 followers on Instagram and more than 800,000 likes on TikTok.<\/p>\n

The BBC approached his management for comment.<\/p>\n
