Si Woo Kim\u2019s chase for 58 <\/a>captured the attention of everyone at TPC Craig Ranch Friday.<\/p>\n

When he went into the clubhouse with a five-shot lead after 36 holes<\/a>, most probably thought they were witnessing a runaway train.<\/p>\n

That proved to be short-sighted on Moving Day as Kim lost and then regained his lead from Wyndham Clark, who applied considerable pressure with a front nine that included a stretch of three consecutive birdies and an eagle on the par-5 ninth.<\/p>\n

Making his inward half more interesting was the bloody nose Clark got on the fifth hole \u2014 where he made birdie.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t really know. I had like a cut on my nose, and I went like this,\u201d Clark described after his round. \u201cNext thing you know I was bleeding. It wasn\u2019t quite a bloody nose, but it lasted a couple holes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clark continued his birdie run by getting up and down for a \u20184′ at the par-5 12th. That gave him the outright lead at 19 under. Kim quickly tied him and Scheffler joined them at the top with his fourth birdie in five holes at the par-4 13th.<\/p>\n

Clark and Scheffler both finished at minus-19, both shooting 65s. Kim, however, birdied Nos. 14 and 15 on his way to a 68 and a two-shot lead entering the finale.<\/p>\n

Kim is seeking his first win on Tour since the 2023 Sony Open while Clark\u2019s last victory was at the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which was weather-shortened.
