Earlier this month, Drake<\/a> turned a long-teased album drop into a three album bonanza, releasing the new LPs Iceman,<\/a> Habibti<\/a>, and Maid of Honour<\/a> at once on May 15. Now, Billboard reports<\/a> that he has become the first artist to hold the No. 1, 2, and 3 spots on its Billboard 200 chart in the same week since it began publishing on a consistent weekly schedule in 1956.<\/p>\n

The feat does, in a sense, arrive on the back of a technicality. In 2009, Michael Jackson\u2014whose iconic bejeweled glove Drake wears on his Iceman cover\u2014should have occupied the top three spots on the Billboard 200 after his death<\/a> based on unit count alone. However, due to a Billboard rule at the time<\/a> that prohibited albums released more than 18 months ago from factoring into the weekly charts, Jackson\u2019s sweep was not counted.<\/p>\n

Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour marked Drake\u2019s first new solo albums since 2023\u2019s For All the Dogs<\/a>. (Crucially, it\u2019s also his first LP drop since the Kendrick Lamar beef that became so ubiquitous it reached the Super Bowl LIX halftime show<\/a> and led Drake to sue his own label<\/a>, UMG, a legal dispute he references multiple times across his latest trio of LPs. The suit was dismissed<\/a> in October 2025.) He also released a joint album with longtime collaborator and fellow Canadian PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U<\/a>, in 2025.<\/p>\n
