A bit of a bummer as the Coca-Cola 600 has 34 laps to go. With rain in the Charlotte area, NASCAR<\/a> has thrown the yellow flag, followed by the red flag. There is hope that this race will finish in a timely manner tonight.<\/p>\n

NASCAR put out the red flag with less than 35 laps to go in the race. Drivers and teams cannot work on the cars under a red flag on pit road. Hopefully, NASCAR doesn’t lose the track and it will be quickly dried off once possible.<\/p>\n

It has been such an emotionally powerful day. Many race fans have been up early to watch the Greatest Day in Motorsports. NASCAR threw a yellow flag for lightning with less than 50 laps to go, however that was waived off only to be quickly followed by the rain<\/a>. NASCAR has restarted the race with 31 laps to go at around 11:22 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

UPDATE: There will be no restart time. Daniel Su\u00e1rez in the most emotional weekend of the NASCAR season just won the Coca-Cola 600 under a rain delay. As the rain played games with the race, Su\u00e1rez defended his position over and over and over again.<\/p>\n

The former Kyle Busch<\/a> Motorsports driver will win the Crown Jewel race in Charlotte. It is his third career win in the Cup Series<\/a>, and his first since joining Spire Motorsports. Su\u00e1rez dedicated the win to the late Kyle Busch in his post-race comments.<\/p>\n
