She endured her final bogey on the last hole of her first nine but drained birdies in two of her last four holes to tie her First-Round score.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nJunior <a href=\"https:\/\/uhcougars.com\/sports\/womens-golf\/roster\/maelynn-kim\/9553\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"9553\" target=\"_blank\">Maelynn Kim<\/a> opened her Final Round with birdies on two of her first four holes and added her final birdie of the tournament at No. 14. She finished the day with a 72 and tied for 60th at 220.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSenior <a href=\"https:\/\/uhcougars.com\/sports\/womens-golf\/roster\/natalie-saint-germain\/9554\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"9554\" target=\"_blank\">Natalie Saint Germain<\/a> and sophomore Emilia V\u00e4ist\u00f6 each posted 73s Sunday. Saint Germain tied for 83rd at 222 while V\u00e4ist\u00f6 tied for 96th at 223. Senior Alexa Salda\u00f1a tied for 140th at 231.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/uhcougars.com\/news\/2026\/5\/25\/file:\/\/\/\/Users\/jeffconrad\/Library\/Group%20Containers\/UBF8T346G9.Office\/TemporaryItems\/msohtmlclip\/clip_image002.jpg\" style=\"display: inline-block;\"\/>#1 (1) Stanford held the Third-Round team lead at 843 to stand five shots ahead of #2 (2) USC. #21 (16) Oklahoma State was third at 854 with #5 (5) Texas (858), #17 (13) Iowa State (861), #7 (7) Arkansas (861), #3 (3) Florida (866), #23 (18) Arizona State (866), #10 (9) Duke (866), #27 (21) Eastern Michigan (870), #11 (10) Pepperdine (872), #32 (24) Missouri (872), #16 (12) SMU (874), #12 (11) North Carolina (874) and #31 (23) Northwestern (876) completing the Top 15.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"NCAA Championships, THird Round, Team Leaderboard, Page 2\" class=\"sidearm-story-image-align-left\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Leaderboard_Flat_NCAA_Page_2_05242026.jpg\" style=\"display:inline-block; margin-right:10px; margin-bottom:10px; float:left\" width=\"400\"\/>The Top-15 teams and the Top-Nine individuals advanced to the Final Round of stroke play on Monday. The top individual following the Final Round of stroke play will be crowned the NCAA individual national champion.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Top-Eight teams following the Monday&#8217;s Final Round of stroke play advance to match play. The Match Play Quarterfinals and Semifinals will be held Tuesday with the National Championship match beginning in the afternoon on Wednesday.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIndividually, Texas&#8217;s Farah O&#8217;Keefe and Catherine Park of USC held the Third-Round lead at 10-under 206. Stanford&#8217;s Meja \u00d6rtengren stood in third at 207 while teammate Megha Ganne was in fourth at 208.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe Cougars earned their first trip as a team to the NCAA Championships after finishing second at the NCAA Simpsonville Regional at Louisville Golf Club on May 11-13. A subscription to Golf Channel may be required to view the live stream.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nHOUSTON in NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS HISTORY<br \/>\nWhile this was the first time that Houston competed as a team at the NCAA Championships, it wasn&#8217;t the first time Houston has been represented at the nation&#8217;s top collegiate tournament.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nSvedenski\u00f6ld qualified as an individual from the NCAA Columbus Regional a year ago and will make her second appearance.
