{"id":692999,"date":"2026-05-25T17:04:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T17:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/692999\/"},"modified":"2026-05-25T17:04:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T17:04:09","slug":"woman-charged-with-manslaughter-in-december-north-end-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/692999\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman charged with manslaughter in December North End death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"publish-date\">Posted May 25, 2026 10:47 am.<\/p>\n<p>A second person has been charged in connection with the death of a 37-year-old man in Winnipeg\u2019s North End last winter.<\/p>\n<p>The Winnipeg Police Service says Caleb Johnston died of an apparent gunshot wound at a home on Arlington Street on the afternoon of Dec. 12, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Three days later, Hugh Switzer, 32, was arrested and <a href=\"https:\/\/winnipeg.citynews.ca\/2025\/12\/17\/murder-charge-arlington-street-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">charged with second-degree murder<\/a> and other firearm-related offences.<\/p>\n<p>The WPS major crimes unit continued investigating.<\/p>\n<p>Now several months later, on Saturday, Honesty Cullen, also 32, was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
