Thousands of cyclists are expected to take part in two major Montreal cycling events this weekend as Tour la Nuit kicks off Friday evening, followed by the Tour de l\u2019\u00cele de Montr\u00e9al on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Tour la Nuit transforms city streets into a nighttime ride, with roads closed to cars as thousands of cyclists take part in a glowing procession through Montreal. Organizers describe it as an iconic event where riders, dressed in colourful outfits and equipped with lights, turn the city into a moving celebration at dusk.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the Tour de l\u2019\u00cele offers a full day of car-free cycling through Montreal\u2019s neighbourhoods, giving participants a chance to explore the city at a slower pace with family and friends.<\/p>\n

Riders can choose between a 30- to 50-kilometre regular route for families and casual cyclists, or a longer Discovery route ranging from 65 to 90 kilometres for more experienced participants.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition also marks the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Montreal Olympics, with themed stops at historic sites and activities at the finish area.<\/p>\n

The event will also feature entertainment, food trucks, music, relay stations, and family activities, along with appearances by the Calcium mascot and free chocolate milk.<\/p>\n
