Like, yo, Shelton is one of the all-time greats. He\u2019s under-appreciated, and he doesn\u2019t get the flowers he deserves. But legitimately, Shelton is great\u2026 So, having said that, they just released Shelton.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, me and Bobby were still under contract. At this point, I was with Omos, and Bobby was doing his thing with The Pride. And I made up my mind, my contract was coming up, me and Bobby had contracts at similar times, and I made up my mind that I don\u2019t want to be here anymore.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd if Triple H is in charge, then I definitely don\u2019t want to be here. Because I don\u2019t like Triple H. I don\u2019t respect Triple H. I think he\u2019s a coward and a liar. And there have been many situations where he was dealing with Bobby, where he didn\u2019t have the balls to tell Bobby the truth, creatively about what he wanted to do.<\/p>\n
\u201dThere are multiple times that I tried to talk to him. And he would always, \u2018I\u2019ll get with you in a little bit\u2019. Or the few times that I got a chance to get him in his office alone, he would call somebody to come in \u2014 he didn\u2019t want to be alone with me. I don\u2019t respect that. Tell me. I\u2019m a professional. Tell me how you feel. We\u2019ll do business based on that. You ain\u2019t got to like me. There\u2019s lots of people throughout my career that I\u2019ve worked with that I don\u2019t like. But we\u2019re making money, we\u2019re doing business.\u201d<\/p>\n
So, having said that, when I saw the political horizon, I told Bobby, \u2018Triple H ain\u2019t for us. Triple H won\u2019t even talk to you. You try to get \u2014 you\u2019re a two-time WWE champion, one of the most decorated champions in wrestling\u2026 Triple H wouldn\u2019t give Bobby one-on-one time. Bobby wanted to talk to Triple H about, \u2018Hey, what\u2019s my direction? What am I doing here?\u2019 Triple H always had something to come up\u2026 Other people had all the access they wanted.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, I told Bobby when we were sitting in catering, \u2018Dog, I\u2019m not going to re-sign. Don\u2019t re-sign. You and me, get Shelton, and let\u2019s go to AEW. Let\u2019s go.\u2019 Bobby was like, \u2018Man, I don\u2019t know.\u2019 Like they were paying Bobby bank. And you know, hey \u2014 Bobby was on that level that he could just show up and you get easy money.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut Bobby\u2019s not that kind of guy. So, after a few weeks, Bobby started to kind of see the environment for what it was, and he was like, \u2018Yeah, P, you right. When our contracts run out, let\u2019s stop re-signing. Let\u2019s get with Shelton.
