{"id":693597,"date":"2026-05-25T23:22:09","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T23:22:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/693597\/"},"modified":"2026-05-25T23:22:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T23:22:09","slug":"japan-soccer-team-begin-training-for-2026-world-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/693597\/","title":{"rendered":"Japan Soccer Team Begin Training for 2026 World Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\nTOKYO, May 26 (<a href=\"https:\/\/newsonjapan.com\/\" target=\"new\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">News On Japan<\/a>) &#8211;<br \/>\n Japan&#8217;s national soccer team began a domestic training camp in Chiba on May 25th ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, with 13 players including 39-year-old Yuto Nagatomo of FC Tokyo and Daichi Kamada of Eintracht Frankfurt taking part in the opening session.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Nagatomo was selected for his fifth consecutive World Cup squad, the most appearances by a Japanese player in the tournament&#8217;s history.
