Josh Hokit turned into an instant star at UFC 327, and it was mainly because he was able to back up the talk.<\/p>\n

Back in April, Hokit (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) was surprisingly matched up against long-time title contender Curtis Blaydes (19-6 MMA, 14-6 UFC). Given Blaydes’ high rank, it was an unusual pairing for someone who just had two fights in the promotion.<\/p>\n

Yet, the fight went on, and Hokit proved why he deserved to be in the cage with Blaydes with a unanimous decision victory<\/a>. Hokit stood toe-to-toe with Blaydes and not only put on the Fight of the Night for the card, but also one of the best MMA fights in heavyweight history. It was a wild brawl that put Hokit on the map.<\/p>\n

Hokit returns to the cage on June 14 at UFC Freedom 250<\/a> \u2013\u00a0which is set to go down on the South Lawn of the White House. He takes on former UFC title challenger Derrick Lewis.<\/p>\n
