Matthew Perry\u2019s sisters called out the late actor\u2019s assistant,\u00a0Kenneth \u201cKenny\u201d Iwamasa, for \u201crepeatedly\u201d injecting him with ketamine on the day he died in October 2023.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cHe had injected my brother with a lethal dose of ketamine and left him in a hot tub to die,\u201d Madeline Morrison stated in a victim impact statement submitted ahead of Iwamasa\u2019s sentencing on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is difficult to put into words the sense of betrayal I felt when I found out what Kenny had done,\u201d she continued, per the filings obtained by Page Six.<\/p>\n

In a victim impact statement submitted before Iwamasa\u2019s sentencing, Caitlin and Madeline Morrison wrote that Iwamasa (seen above in February 2023) left Perry \u201cin a hot tub to die.\u201d BACKGRID<\/p>\n

Iwamasa allegedly lied to the \u201cFriends\u201d alum\u2019s relatives about what occurred the day he died at his Pacific Palisades, California, home.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything I believed about the day he died \u2014 everything Kenny told us \u2014 was a lie,\u201d Madeline continued. \u201cThe idea that someone my brother considered family could betray him in such an unimaginable way is something I never could have conceived.\u201d<\/p>\n

Madeline recalled Iwamasa being \u201cmanic and unsettled\u201d in the days leading up to Perry\u2019s funeral, which he spoke at.<\/p>\n

Iwamasa (seen above) also allegedly lied to Perry\u2019s family about the events that occurred the day he died. @kenny-iwamasa<\/p>\n

\u201cThe person responsible for my brother\u2019s death stood up and addressed the people who loved him most,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThat is like a cruel joke I still struggle with. He didn\u2019t just take my brother\u2019s life \u2014 he tainted our final memories of saying goodbye.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Perry\u2019s sister Caitlin Morrison, she wrote that she would \u201cnever know if the lethal dose of ketamine was only lethal by accident.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I know that when Kenny left the house, he was doing one of two things,\u201d she wrote. \u201cHe was either escaping from something he knew he had done or he was willfully abandoning a vulnerable person in a dangerous situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Perry\u2019s mom, Suzanne Morrison, also penned a statement, writing that Iwamasa\u2019s \u201cmost important job \u2026 was to be my son\u2019s companion and guardian in his fight against addiction.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHis number-one responsibility \u2014 ensure that Matthew remained what he wanted to be: drug free,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAnd when he had killed my son, he kept a sharp eye on me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iwamasa was one of five people convicted of playing a role in Perry\u2019s tragic death. <\/p>\n

Two months after the \u201cThe Whole Nine Yards\u201d star was found dead in his hot tub, his cause of death<\/a> was ruled to be due to \u201cacute effects of ketamine,\u201d as well as drowning and other factors.<\/p>\n

While Perry, who previously battled drug addiction<\/a>, was on \u201cketamine infusion therapy\u201d\u00a0leading up to his passing, Iwamasa had \u201crepeatedly\u201d injected him with illegal doses of the drug\u00a0\u201cwithout medical training.\u201d<\/p>\n

Iwamasa, along with Dr. Mark Chavez, drug counselor Erik Fleming, \u201cKetamine Queen\u201d Jasveen Sangha<\/a> and\u00a0Dr. Salvador Plasencia, were later charged in connection<\/a> with Perry\u2019s death in August 2025.<\/p>\n

Iwamasa, Chavez\u00a0and Fleming pleaded guilty to the charges<\/a>, while Sangha and Plasencia\u00a0entered guilty pleas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chavez was ordered to eight months on house arrest, while Sangha was sentenced to 15 years in prison for supplying the ketamine to Perry and running a drug trafficking business.<\/p>\n
