During their time together on the Golden State Warriors<\/a>, Kevin Durant<\/a> and Draymond Green<\/a> didn\u2019t always get along<\/a>. But now, years after they\u2019ve been apart, the two have agreed on some recent criticism of today\u2019s sports media.\u00a0<\/p>\n In an interview with Sports Illustrated<\/a>, legendary actor Denzel Washington called out \u2018talking heads\u2019 in sports media.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAll the shows are a bunch of guys\u2026who have an opinion about what something should be when they haven\u2019t done it,\u201d Washington said. \u201cThose who have, know what they\u2019re talking about. Those who haven\u2019t, don\u2019t. Period.\u201d<\/p>\n Durant responded<\/a> to the quote with three \u2018\ud83d\udd25\u2018 emojis, while Green took to his Instagram story to say<\/a>, \u2018Some Can! Most Can\u2019t! Shut Up!!! Preach \ud83d\udc10.\u201d<\/p>\n Washington\u2019s Sports Media Comments<\/p>\n Washington is on a media tour promoting a new movie, but has turned his attention to calling out those in daily sports media who comment on issues they have little knowledge about.\u00a0<\/p>\n Specifically, the former \u2018Best Actor\u2018 award winner discussed Bronny James<\/a> of the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> and Shedeur Sanders<\/a> of the Cleveland Browns<\/a>. Washington said he doesn\u2019t understand why sports media personalities seem forced to have opinions on topics that have little to no consequences.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cEverybody\u2019s got an opinion. In fact, we live in a world of \u2018opinionaires,\u2019\u201c said Washington. \u201cThat\u2019s what I call them, \u2018opinionaires.\u2018 They\u2019re on all the shows, a bunch of the guys, a couple that have played, but most of them who haven\u2019t who have an opinion about what something should be when they haven\u2019t done it.\u201d<\/p>\n Interestingly enough, Washington then went on First Take<\/a> just days after his Sports Illustrated interview, sitting alongside Stephen A. Smith of ESPN, someone who many credit<\/a> as being one of those sports media personalities he was calling out.\u00a0<\/p>\n In that appearance, Washington was less critical of the \u2018opinionaires\u2018 and turned his criticism towards Dallas Cowboys<\/a> owner Jerry Jones.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t like what Dallas is doing. I know they\u2019re making a lot of money and I\u2019m happy for their owner, but the fans ain\u2019t happy,\u201d Washington said<\/a>. \u201cAll money ain\u2019t good money, Jerry.\u201d<\/p>\n Durant And Green Have Been Busy On Social Media<\/p>\n While Durant and Green\u2019s responses to Washington\u2019s comments were their latest impressions made on social media, both have been active on multiple platforms this offseason, responding to questions, comments, and criticism about their teams, teammates, and recent performances.\u00a0<\/p>\n Durant has been more active on X<\/a>, as in August, he commented on the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a>\u2018s 2025 NBA Finals win, upset Warriors fans<\/a>, and the topic itself of arguing with fans on social media.\u00a0<\/p>\n Green, on the other hand, has been active on Threads<\/a>. He made headlines for responding to a question<\/a> about Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr., and the job he has done this summer as it relates to the team\u2019s lack of moves amid their Jonathan Kuminga<\/a> contract standoff.\u00a0<\/p>\n He also commented on new teammate Jimmy Butler,<\/a> who arrived in Golden State at the February trade deadline and brought an immediate impact to the team in the final months of the regular season.\u00a0<\/p>\n Both Durant and Green have been active and never afraid to share their true feelings on social media.
