Over 300 guests joined Dezeen Awards 2026<\/a>, in partnership with Trimble<\/a>, to celebrate the Asia Pacific Regional Showcases<\/a> at a party during Melbourne Design Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Taking place at rug brand Armadillo’s<\/a> showroom in the bohemian Fitzroy area, the party was attended by leading architects and designers from across the region who gathered to learn about this year’s programme and new initiatives<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The night kicked off with presentations from the event’s co-hosts including Dezeen’s China team, led by China editor Christina Yao<\/a>, Swedish elevator manufacturer Aritco<\/a>, Armadillo and Timothy Moore, curator of Melbourne Design Week.<\/p>\n

Local studios and previous Dezeen Awards winners LLDS Architects<\/a>, Studio Bright<\/a> and Other Matter<\/a> shared how winning an award supported their career development.<\/p>\n

Guests then enjoyed a selection of champagne and wine from drinks partner Penfolds<\/a> as the party continued into the evening.<\/p>\n

This year, Dezeen Awards continues its global search for the best architecture, interiors, and design with the introduction of our Regional Showcases<\/a> \u2013 three Top 50 lists that will celebrate the best projects in three regions: Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific, and the Americas.<\/p>\n

Alongside our 49 project awards<\/a>, this new addition adds another chance for work to be celebrated and spotlights outstanding projects produced in key regions of the world.<\/p>\n

Historically, some of the strongest entries to Dezeen Awards have been from Asia Pacific. Thirty-seven per cent of our winners last year came from the region, highlighting the outstanding work being created in this part of the world.<\/p>\n
