{"id":696668,"date":"2026-05-27T07:37:51","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T07:37:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/696668\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T07:37:51","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T07:37:51","slug":"jamie-vardy-former-leicester-and-england-striker-jamie-vardy-leaves-cremonese","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/696668\/","title":{"rendered":"Jamie Vardy: Former Leicester and England striker Jamie Vardy leaves Cremonese"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has decided to leave Cremonese when his contract expires this summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 39-year-old scored seven goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances, but it was not enough to save the Italian side from relegation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It is understood Vardy is still enjoying his football and believes he can continue playing at a high level, including in the Premier League, with Dutch side Feyenoord among the clubs to have shown interest this summer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Vardy scored 200 goals in 500 matches for Leicester, famously winning the Premier League and FA Cup, and is regarded as one of the club&#8217;s greatest players of all time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He also scored seven goals in 26 appearances for England and was part of the Three Lions squad for Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has decided to leave Cremonese when his contract expires this summer.
