Aside from a few snippets of information that trickle out of Tennessee Titans<\/a> offseason activities, it has been quiet over the past few days, and outlets are coming up with different topics to help pass the time.<\/p>\n

NFL.com is no different, and its editor at large, Gennaro Filice, took some time to determine each NFL team’s most underappreciated player<\/a>, and for the Titans, he had an interesting pick.<\/p>\n

Tennessee Titans – Peter Skoronski<\/a> – LG – Age 24<\/p>\n

A starting left tackle in each of his three seasons at Northwestern, Skoronski immediately moved inside upon entry into the NFL, leading some to question whether Tennessee overdrafted the blocker at No. 11 overall in 2023. His rookie campaign was a roller coaster, with an emergency appendectomy sidelining him early and some leaky pass protection plaguing him late. He showed improvement in Year 2, playing every offensive snap in the process. Skoronski repeated that iron-man feat last season, and he significantly improved his all-around game to become the best offensive lineman — if not best offensive player — in Tennessee. Consequently, the franchise just exercised Skoronski\u2019s fifth-year option. That\u2019s no small development in Nashville, considering the laundry list of recent Titans first-rounders who didn\u2019t receive that extension (SEE: Treylon Burks<\/a>, Caleb Farley<\/a>, Isaiah Wilson<\/a>, Rashaan Evans<\/a>, Corey Davis<\/a>, and Jack Conklin<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Skoronski has proven to be the most consistent offensive lineman on the Titans’ roster and is clearly viewed as one of the long-term foundational pieces.<\/p>\n

Selected in the 2023 NFL draft, Skoronski has been a highlight of a mostly forgettable class, with only Will Levis<\/a> and Tyjae Spears<\/a> remaining on the roster. But unlike those two, Skoronski is almost guaranteed a second contract, as the Titans are working on an extension with their young lineman after picking up his fifth-year option from 2027.<\/p>\n
