\u201cVirgin River\u201d actor Stewart McLean committed to attending a film shoot in his final text before his mysterious death, according to close friend and acting coach Jeff Seymour.<\/p>\n
Seymour told the Daily Mail<\/a> on Tuesday that McLean \u2014 whom police believe was murdered<\/a> \u2014 \u201chad a very normal day\u201d working on the set of an independent film in Merritt, Canada, on May 15 before going missing.<\/p>\n \u201cHe had a four-hour drive home, and he left at around seven,\u201d Seymour explained. \u201cHe arrived home that night. [His] car [was] in the driveway.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cVirgin River\u201d actor Stewart McLean\u2019s friend, Jeff Seymour, revealed the late star\u2019s final text before his mysterious death. Netflix<\/p>\n In his final text, Mclean (seen above in \u201cVirgin River\u201d) confirmed he\u2019d be back on the set of the independent movie he was working on in Canada, according to Seymour. Netflix<\/p>\n Seymour claimed McLean\u2019s \u201clast communication came from his phone that evening\u201d before \u201ceverything just went dark.\u201d<\/p>\n In the last text he sent, McLean confirmed he\u2019d be back on set the next day (May 16), according to Seymour.<\/p>\n But when Seymour heard from McLean\u2019s agent that he didn\u2019t show up to the film shoot, he knew \u201csomething horrible had happened\u201d<\/a> to his friend.<\/p>\n \u201cBecause, show business, you know?\u201d he told the outlet. \u201cThe show must go on. It is unheard of for an actor not to show up.\u201d<\/p>\n However, he did not show up set. RCMP<\/p>\n Seymour said when he heard McLean (seen above) didn\u2019t arrive, he knew \u201csomething horrible had happened\u201d to the actor. RCMP<\/p>\n McLean was last seen at his Lions Bay home on May 15 and was officially reported missing three days later.<\/p>\n The 45-year-old was found dead in Lions Bay on May 22. <\/p>\n According to a press release obtained by Page Six, Squamish Royal Canadian Mounted Police said they \u201cinitiated an investigation and, through investigative efforts, uncovered evidence that led investigators to believe Mr. McLean was victim of homicide.\u201d<\/p>\n Seymour said McLean\u2019s \u201clast communication came from his phone\u201d the evening of May 15 before \u201ceverything just went dark\u201d (McLean is pictured above in \u201cThe Irrational\u201d).
