A Michigan resident has been charged after an incident at a business on Great Northern Road.<\/p>\n
A 911 call came in at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday to report a disturbance\u00a0in the 100 block of Great Northern Road.<\/p>\n
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service said the accused followed someone across the border from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.<\/p>\n
\u201cAn investigation revealed that, despite warnings from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Department in Michigan, the accused continued harassing and following a victim who is not well known to them,\u201d\u00a0Sault Police said in a news release.<\/p>\n
Officers made an arrest just before 9 p.m.<\/p>\n
Georgi Kalchev, 52, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan was charged with criminal harassment \u2013 beset and watch a person known to the complainant.<\/p>\n
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.<\/p>\n
None of the allegations have been tested in court and\u00a0Kalchev\u00a0is considered innocent until found guilty.<\/p>\n
