It was a rather impressive year for the Toronto Raptors<\/a>, a team that played much better than many expected. It was the start of what could be a very bright future for this organization, and much of that is because of the players they can move on from to get better on both sides of the basketball court.<\/p>\n

One of those guys is Brandon Ingram<\/a>, who, in his own right, is not somebody that many are viewing as a championship-caliber guy. Ingram averaged 21.5 points, shot 47.7% from the field, and 38.2% from 3-point range on the season.<\/p>\n

All in all, he was definitely a good enough player to be a third option, but he might not have been the guy Toronto was looking for. For those reasons and more, there’s a feeling now that he could be traded.<\/p>\n

After Ingram was injured and mostly ineffective against the Cavs<\/a>, Sportsnet\u2019s Michael Grange floated the possibility that the Raptors could use Ingram\u2019s contract to find a scoring upgrade,\u201d Sean Deveney of Heavy wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Raptors would probably be better off not bringing in another star for now. There’s definitely an argument to be made that he could bring them back a decent return, though there’s still the side of the story that suggests Toronto won’t get a player in return that’s as good as him.<\/p>\n

If the Raptors are going for fit, however, this could be a trade that makes sense.<\/p>\n
