Stanford won the 2026 NCAA women’s golf championship by defeating Southern California at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA. It was the Cardinals’ fourth title and third in the last five years. Texas’ Farah O’Keefe won the 2026 individual title.<\/p>\n

The championship kicked off on Friday, May 22 and ran through Wednesday, May 27 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.\u00a0<\/p>\n

O’Keefe won the individual title<\/a> on May 25, finishing 12-under par through four rounds.<\/p>\n

Selections for this year’s tournament<\/a> were announced on the Golf Channel on Wednesday, April 29, with qualifiers split into six regional sites. Regional play wrapped up on Wednesday, May 13. Thirty schools advanced to the tournament championship<\/a>,\u00a0which is held from May 22-27.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The players will complete 54 holes of stroke play. Then the top 15 teams, along with the top nine individuals not on an advancing team, will compete for one additional day of stroke play to determine the top eight teams for match play competition and the 72-hole stroke play individual champion. The top eight teams then compete in match play for the team national championship to be decided on May 27.<\/p>\n
