Sky Sport Italia claim Roma have reached an agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion to sign Evan Ferguson on loan with an option to buy for \u20ac38m.<\/p>\n

The negotiations have been dragging on for a while and there was a significant difference<\/a> between the proposal to sign him for \u20ac30m and the asking price of closer to \u20ac40m.<\/p>\n

According to Gianluca Di Marzio<\/a>, the final fee between loan and option to buy at the end of the season will reach somewhere between \u20ac35m and \u20ac40m, probably evening out including add-ons at around \u20ac38m.<\/p>\n

Now Roma need to work out a few contractual issues and personal terms with the Republic of Ireland international, but that should not be too tough to secure.<\/p>\n

The 20-year-old centre-forward<\/a> spent the last six months on loan at West Ham United, but has been at Brighton since 2021.<\/p>\n

He had already been targeted by coach Gian Piero Gasperini for Atalanta and the interest continued once the tactician took over at Roma instead.<\/p>\n
