Just days after waving off a bunch of beloved characters, a further two EastEnders<\/a> fan-favourites have departed Walford. <\/p>\n The long-running BBC<\/a> One soap said goodbye to<\/a> Julie Bates<\/a> (Karen Henthorn<\/a>) last week, much to the sadness of viewers who had hoped she would become a regular following Nigel\u2019s (Paul Bradley<\/a>) death.<\/p>\n Days later, we bid farewell to Sam Mitchell <\/a>(Kim Medcalf<\/a>), who Metro readers were particularly fond of<\/a>, as well as the legendary Grant Mitchell<\/a> (Ross Kemp<\/a>), with the siblings fleeing the authorities after the latter was accused of arson.<\/p>\n And now, at the close of this week, Ravi Gulati<\/a> (Aaron Thiara) and Patrick Truman (Rudolph Walker) have decided to take some time away from Walford, with the pair departing as part of separate storylines on Thursday (May 28). <\/p>\n Ravi, as viewers know, was sectioned by the mental health team<\/a> last month after contemplating taking his own life<\/a> and he was subsequently diagnosed with complex PTSD.<\/p>\n He broke things off with Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) during a visit but, as part of his treatment, he was encouraged to reach out to his one true love, writing her a letter.<\/p>\n Having not received a response, he returned to the Square this week, much to the shock of Priya, and after he opened up about his progress in therapy, one thing led to another with the couple sleeping together. <\/p>\n \t\t Priya believed this to be a sign that they were back together but Ravi was taken aback, having thought she\u2019d read his letter, in which he revealed that he was letting her go.<\/p>\n Priya broke down as Ravi packed his bags and left. But has he really gone? <\/p>\n Elsewhere, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) decided to take some time away from the Square, visiting his grandchildren up in Scotland after he received a call from ex daughter-in-law Sophie, who said that the kids weren\u2019t coping well in the wake of Anthony\u2019s (Nicholas Bailey) death.<\/p>\n He offered some advice to Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw), who wasn\u2019t sure about if he should wed Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) following her fling with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) but \u2013 upon hearing Patrick\u2019s words of wisdom \u2013 he reconsidered. <\/p>\n \t\t Patrick, however, appeared in the flashforward episode \u2013 which is set in 2027 \u2013 earlier this year so we know that he will be back on screens soon.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tDon’t miss a Soaps scoop!
