Right-hander <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/v\/vasqura02.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.mlbtraderumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-08-14_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Randy V\u00e1squez<\/a> has been recalled in the corresponding move.<\/p>\n<p>The Friars haven\u2019t yet provided any information about King\u2019s injury or how long they expect him to be out of action. His IL placement is a notable development regardless. The Padres just passed the Dodgers to take a one-game lead in the National League West. The two clubs open a three-game series against each other in Los Angeles tomorrow with the division lead on the line. King was scheduled to take the ball in the first game but that will no longer be the case.
