Of course the big focus is on the 2026 NHL Draft for which the Jets hold the 8th overall selection. We will be spending\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/illegalcurve.com\/who-could-be-available-for-the-winnipeg-jets-at-8th-overall-in-the-nhl-draft\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">quite a bit of time learning about the players<\/a>\u00a0who could hear their name get called by Winnipeg at the end of June.<\/p>\n<p>Note II: It was a late addition last night but some Jets RFA news (technically) as Rasmus Kupari has <a href=\"https:\/\/illegalcurve.com\/winnipeg-jets-rfa-rasmus-kupari-signs-swiss-extension\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">signed a one-year extension<\/a> to stay in Switzerland with HC Lugano.<\/p>\n<p>Note III: All five Jets players at the World Championships advanced to the semi-finals. Mark Scheifele had <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ICdave\/status\/2060051586051686892\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">two primary assists<\/a> in the win for Canada. He along with Gabriel Vilardi and Dylan DeMelo will take on Ville Heinola and Finland on Saturday. It\u2019s still very clear that he remains passionate about the state of the sport in his home country and also pretty clear how difficult last season was on him.
