{"id":701594,"date":"2026-05-29T13:16:10","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T13:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/701594\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T13:16:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T13:16:10","slug":"i-want-to-headline-those-shows-aodhan-byrne-targeting-irelands-biggest-boxing-nights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/701594\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018I want to headline those shows\u2019 \u2013 Aodhan Byrne targeting Ireland\u2019s biggest boxing nights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irish-boxing.com\/?s=Aodhan+Byrne\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aodhan Byrne<\/a> hasn\u2019t even completed his second professional fight yet \u2014 but he already has his sights firmly set on Ireland\u2019s biggest boxing stages.<\/p>\n<p>The exciting Kildare prospect returns to action this Saturday on JB Promotions\u2019 Dublin card looking to improve to 2-0, but admits major Irish events are already driving his ambitions.<\/p>\n<p>With several high-profile cards being discussed for Ireland later this year, including a potential Katie Taylor Croke Park event, the Unit 3 boxer, who brought a loud and proud crowd to his debut in Donegal, says those are exactly the nights he wants to be part of.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c100%,\u201d Byrne told Irish-boxing.com.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve said this before \u2014 our biggest aim in this game is to be on the big shows, and I wouldn\u2019t be in this game if I don\u2019t want to be on those big shows.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the opportunity comes, I\u2019ll be ready,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re in a gym where we\u2019re diligent. We work every week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce this fight\u2019s over, I\u2019ll have a week off and I\u2019ll be straight back into the gym.
